South Africa

South Africa's landscape and people are fascinatingly diverse. I moved 1000km from home to Cape Town, and spent many of my student  holidays exploring more of my country. I cycled 700km from Cape Town to Jeffrey's Bay in the winter of 2019, drove 4000km in February 2021, and walked 130km of the Wild Coast in winter that year. All these explorations have been solo endeavours in an attempt to better understand the social, political and cultural structures of South Africa. These are photos captured in those moments.
